Lonestar to play at 2016 Utah County Fair
The 2016 Utah County Fair will feature a live show featuring the country band Lonestar.
Known for making country music that emphasizes strong melodies and rich vocals, Lonestar, featuring Richie McDonald (lead vocals), Michael Britt (lead guitar & backing vocals), Keech Rainwater (drums), and Dean Sams (keyboards & backing vocals), has reached RIAA-certified sales in excess of 10 million album units since its national launch in 1995 and achieved 10 No. 1 country hits, including “No News,” “Come Crying to Me” and “Amazed.”
Lonestar’s newest album, “Never Enders,” was released in April and features 10 new original songs that bring the band’s trademark country sound into the contemporary arena.
The show begins at 7 p.m. on Aug. 17 at the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds Arena. Tickets for the show are $10 and available at utahcountyfair.org.
James Taylor to perform at Maverik Center
The iconic singer-songwriter James Taylor will play at the Maverik Center on Thursday at 8 p.m.
Taylor has been well-known for his warm baritone vocal performances for more than 40 years. Over the course of his celebrated songwriting and performing career, Taylor has sold more than 100 million albums, earning gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards for songs including “Sweet Baby James” and “October Road.” He has won five Grammy awards and has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the prestigious Songwriters Hall of Fame. His most recent album, “Before This World,” released last year, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has been nominated for another Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album.

Keith Urban to play at USANA Amphitheatre
Keith Urban’s “Ripcord World Tour 2016" with Brett Eldredge and special guest Maren Morris will play at the USANA Amphitheatre on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Known for songs such as “Wasted Time,” “Somebody Like You,” “We Were Us” and “Days Go By,” Urban is a four-time Grammy winner. In 2001, the Country Music Association honored Urban with its Horizon Award.
