The Associated Press obtained a dataset of millions of Federal Trade Commission fraud complaints from 2021-2025. This interactive allows you to search for the most common fraud reports in your county.
This dataset is based on self-reporting and is estimated to capture only a portion of fraud in the U.S., much of which goes unreported. Because the reporting and collection of fraud data varies across the country, there are limitations comparing across geographic regions, such as two counties in different states.
Totals include FTC fraud complaints reported across all years in the available database.
